About me
Megan Gassler was born in 1988 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida where she grew up on the white sands of
the beautiful Emerald Gulf Coast, dreaming of the make-believe and maybe one day becoming a
mermaid. Meg now lives in Las Vegas, Nv with her husband, 5 incredible children, and yes, even her ex-
husband under one roof, fostering an unconventional yet harmonious family dynamic.
Growing up, Meg loved drawing from the moment she could hold a crayon in her hands — crafting
characters and weaving stories around them. During all of this time, the passion for character design and development
evolved into AOL chat room RP’s during her middle school years, providing an outlet for her creativity. Eventually, it transitioned into
relay writing on message boards throughout high school and college, where she collaborated with others to bring
her imaginative worlds to life. She loves to write about magic, romance, and high fantasy adventures.
Her current book (and series) she is working on was born from a creative writing project in her freshmen
year English class (2003) that she continued on beyond that assignment, and now all these years later, is in the process
of FINALLY being completed in hopes of being published.
Meg has been a professional photographer since 2007 – telling stories through the lens of her camera
as well. Story telling has always been rooted into who she was as a person, and if she wasn’t living in the
worlds of books she was reading, it was through the ideas she had created within her own mind.
Meg also went to school to be an illustrator but, with each kid born, this too got placed on the back burner for several years,
however, with all the creative outlets, each one (writing, illustrating, and photography) only built upon one another
to craft where her heart and passions are to this very day.
Meg is also a 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo, a seasoned competitive swimmer throughout her middle school
and high school life, and a regular in the gym with weightlifting.
Additionally, when not juggling her 5 kids school and sport schedules, or out shooting and editing photos, or writing in her books, you
can find her at home binging coffee and reading, drawing on her ipad, playing on her family’s mine craft server, or possibly exploring all the fun
things Las Vegas has to offer. Her favorite foods are cuban and sushi, and she also loves spending time at a pool, or going outside
when the sun is going down for long walks around the neighborhood. :)
